Used when one person drinks another into a state of collapse or unconsciousness. The subject is the stronger drinker; the object is the person who gets drunk to the point of passing out.

He's a strong drinker and often drinks his friends under the table.

I tried to outdrink my senior colleague, but ended up getting wasted myself.
