Awa Odori Festival
A large traditional dance festival held in Tokushima Prefecture during the Obon season.
In summer, many people go to Tokushima to see the Awa Odori.

阿波 (Awa, the old province name for Tokushima) + おどり (dance). The festival's origins are uncertain, but it is traditionally associated with the Obon period.
