Used when formally seating a guest in the most honored position, typically the 上座 (かみざ) farthest from the entrance or in the best location.

• お客きゃく様さまを上かみ座ざに据すえて、会かい議ぎを始はじめた。

  We seated the guest in the seat of honor and began the meeting.

• 彼かれはいつも自じ分ぶんを上かみ座ざに据すえたがる。

  He always wants to put himself in the seat of honor.
