Historical term from the ritsuryō legal codes; refers to labor service owed by able-bodied adult males to the state, or a tax paid in lieu of such service.

• 律りつ令りょう制せい下かでは、成せい年ねん男だん子しに事じ力りきが課かせられた。

  Under the ritsuryō system, adult men were subject to corvée labor.

• 事じ力りきは、しばしば米こめや布ぬので代だい納のうされた。
