  This movie was really pointless.

Describes a person or situation that is so bad it cannot be fixed or improved. Stronger negative judgment than sense 1.

• あいつはしょうもない奴やつやな。

  That guy is hopeless.

• この状じょう況きょう、もうしょうもないで。

  This situation is beyond saving.
