excuse me (when passing in front of someone)

A set polite expression used when crossing in front of someone, especially in narrow spaces or when blocking their view. Equivalent to 'excuse me for passing in front of you'.

• 人ひとの前まえを通とおるときは「前まえを失しつ礼れいします」と言いいましょう。

  When passing in front of someone, say 'mae o shitsurei shimasu'.

• すみません、前まえを失しつ礼れいします。

  Excuse me, I'm passing in front of you.
