Used when someone says something they shouldn't have, often without thinking or by accident. Can also be used for saying something foolish or inappropriate.
つい秘密を口走ってしまった。
I accidentally blurted out the secret.

When he gets angry, he often says things he shouldn't.
He blurted out the details of the crime during questioning.
