ryosen scale; Japanese seven-tone gagaku scale

A traditional Japanese seven-tone scale used in gagaku, corresponding to the pitches so, la, ti, do, re, mi, fa and similar to the Western Mixolydian mode. Contrasted with 律旋 (ritsusen).
