unlucky direction (in Onmyōdō)
A technical term from Onmyōdō (陰陽道) referring to a direction considered unlucky due to the presence of a deity such as Ten'ichijin (天一神). Rare and domain-specific; not used in everyday conversation.
In Onmyōdō, the direction where Ten'ichijin resides was called 塞がり and was avoided.
