Sukuyōdō astrology
A form of astrology based on the Chinese Xiuyaojing, introduced to Japan during the Heian period. Used for calendrical and divinatory purposes. Historical term; not part of modern everyday astrology.

From 宿曜 (Sukuyō, referring to the lunar mansions or the Xiuyaojing) + 道 (way, path, system). The term denotes the astrological tradition based on the Chinese text Xiuyaojing, which was introduced to Japan in the Heian period.
