Used when someone reads through a series of books or a long work, moving from one volume to the next without stopping. Often implies being engrossed.

• 彼かれはその小しょう説せつに夢む中ちゅうで、巻かんを追おうように読よみ進すすめた。

  He was so absorbed in the novel that he read it volume after volume.

• 面おも白しろくて、つい巻かんを追おってしまった。

  It was so interesting that I ended up reading one volume after another.
