Used when someone regards another person as their teacher or mentor, often in a formal or respectful context. The construction is 〜を師と仰ぐ.

• 彼かれは大だい学がくの教きょう授じゅを師しと仰あおいでいる。

  He looks up to his university professor as his mentor.

• 多おおくの弟で子しがその僧そうを師しと仰あおいだ。

  Many disciples revered that monk as their teacher.
