Japanese seven-tone gagaku scale (re, mi, fa, so, la, ti, do); similar to Dorian mode

Technical term in traditional Japanese music (gagaku). The scale corresponds to the pitches re, mi, fa, so, la, ti, do and is often compared to the Western Dorian mode. Contrasts with 呂旋法 (ryosenpō).
