Imjin War; Hideyoshi's invasions of Korea
Historical term for Toyotomi Hideyoshi's two invasions of Korea (1592–1598). Often referred to in English as the Imjin War or the Japanese invasions of Korea.

The Bunroku-Keichō no Eki was the war in which Toyotomi Hideyoshi sent troops to the Korean Peninsula.
文禄・慶長の役の影響で、朝鮮から多くの陶工が日本に連れて来られた。
As a result of the Bunroku-Keichō no Eki, many potters were brought from Korea to Japan.
Named after the Japanese era names Bunroku (1592–1596) and Keichō (1596–1615) during which the invasions occurred. 役 (えき) here means 'military campaign' or 'war'.
