tangible cultural property
Official term used in Japanese cultural heritage law for physical objects such as buildings, sculptures, paintings, and crafts that have historical or artistic value. Often contrasted with 無形文化財 (intangible cultural properties).
This temple has been designated as an Important Tangible Cultural Property of Japan.
