Colloquial term, often used when the wife has a significantly higher income or social standing than the husband. Can also refer to the reverse, but the wife-higher pattern is the most common usage.

• 最さい近きん、格かく差さ婚こんが増ふえているらしい。

  Apparently, marriages with a big income gap have been increasing lately.

• 彼かの女じょは年ねん収しゅうが倍ばい以い上じょうある男だん性せいと格かく差さ婚こんした。
