Usually used in the negative form 気が乗らない to express a lack of motivation or enthusiasm. The affirmative 気が乗る is less common but means to become inclined or excited about something.

• 今日きょうはどうも気きが乗のらなくて、仕し事ごとがはかどらない。

  I just don't feel like it today, so I'm not getting much work done.

• 彼かれはその話はなしに気きが乗のったようで、急きゅうに積せっ極きょく的てきになった。

  He seemed to take an interest in the topic and suddenly became enthusiastic.
