Used when something turns out better than expected, or when one secretly feels positive despite outward indifference. Often appears in the pattern まんざらでもない様子 or まんざらでもない顔.
彼はまんざらでもない顔でその申し出を受けた。
He accepted the offer with a look that showed he wasn't entirely displeased.
初めての料理だったが、まんざらでもない出来だった。
It was my first attempt at cooking, but it turned out fairly good.
