Derogatory term for a student who obsessively chases high marks, often at the expense of social life or genuine learning. Comparable to 'nerd' or 'grind' in English, but with a stronger focus on grades.
That guy is a grade-grubber; he only cares about test scores.
Even when called a swot, he didn't stop studying.
