Refers to a personal, often unconscious, repeated action or tendency. Used for daily routines, good/bad habits, and learned behaviors.
It's my habit to jog every morning.

custom; practice; convention; tradition
Refers to a socially established way of doing things, often shared by a group, region, or culture. Can overlap with personal habit when the behavior is culturally ingrained.
In Japan, there is a custom of bowing.
In that region, there is no custom of wearing white clothes to weddings.
