通とおりすがる

Describes the action of passing by a place, often with the nuance of doing so incidentally or by chance. Similar to 通りかかる.

• 駅えきの前まえを通とおりすがったとき、偶ぐう然ぜん友とも達だちに会あった。

  When I happened to pass by the station, I ran into a friend.

• 通とおりすがりの人ひとに道みちを聞きいた。
