squid chopped, salted and mixed in its own ink
A regional dish from Toyama Prefecture, made by finely chopping squid, salting it, and mixing it with its own ink. Often served as a side dish or with rice.
I tried Toyama's specialty, kurozukuri, for the first time.
Compound of 黒 (kuro, 'black') and 作り (tsukuri, 'making' or 'prepared dish'), referring to the black color from the squid ink.
