あるまじきUnthinkable or unbecoming
あるまじき strongly condemns conduct, words, or a situation as unacceptable or utterly incompatible with a person's role or an institution's standards. It is much more formal and rhetorical than an ordinary statement that someone should not do something.
Condemning a violation of role or status
The noun before に supplies the standard being violated. The following noun names the offending conduct, remark, attitude, or result. The judgment is not merely that the action was wrong; it says that such a thing is fundamentally unworthy of that role.
その発言は、裁判官にあるまじき発言として厳しく批判された。
The remark was harshly criticized as conduct unbecoming a judge.

When the standard is already obvious
The role phrase can be omitted when the surrounding context already makes the relevant moral or institutional standard clear. The condemnation remains strong, so this bare form suits serious misconduct or an outrageous situation rather than a small everyday mistake.
