ものかEmphatic denial
ものか rejects an idea through a forceful rhetorical question: “No way,” “As if that were true,” or “I certainly will not.” It often conveys anger, defiance, or strong personal conviction.
How the denial works
The sentence is shaped like a question, but the speaker is not requesting information. The intended answer is an emphatic “absolutely not.” With another person's claim, it rejects that claim; with the speaker's own controllable action, it declares a firm refusal.
Denial and firm refusal
The surrounding context makes the speaker's strong stance unmistakable.

A rhetorical question, not ordinary uncertainty
か gives the expression its question-like shape, but intonation and context normally show rejection rather than doubt. A natural English translation often uses “no way,” “as if,” “never,” or an emphatic negative statement rather than a literal question.

Emotional rejection versus reasoned impossibility
ものか performs an emotional rejection, challenge, or refusal. わけがない instead presents something as impossible on the basis of facts or reasoning. Both may become “no way” in English, but only the first naturally carries the feeling of “I reject that” or “I refuse.”
