Used in affirmative sentences to mean 'both' of two items or people.
I like both apples and oranges.
Used with a negative predicate to mean 'neither' or 'not either'. The negative form follows later in the sentence.

この二つの案はどちらも良いと思います。

He didn't drink either tea or coffee.
どちらでもない means 'neither one', while どちらも means 'both' apply equally.
どちらか means 'either one' (choosing one of two), whereas どちらも means 'both' in affirmative sentences or 'neither' in negative ones.
Casual contraction of どちらも, common in informal speech.
Rare kanji spelling; it is rarely used. Learners should use kana.
