別々に means 'separately', the opposite of 共に's sense of doing something jointly with someone.
別々に means 'separately, individually', the direct opposite of 一緒に's 'together, as one'.

Variant without iteration mark; less common but still used.
Formed by reduplication of 別 (べつ, 'separate') with the adverbial particle に. The iteration mark 々 indicates repetition of the preceding kanji.
