緩む is used for physical or figurative loosening (a rope, a rule, tension), while 和らぐ more often describes emotions, pain, or climate becoming milder.
和らぐ describes pain, cold, or emotions becoming gentler or softer, whereas 薄らぐ focuses on something growing thinner or fainter in degree.
和らぐ implies something becoming softer or milder (like pain or anger easing), while 弱まる simply means becoming weaker in intensity.
