A letter or document passed around a group for everyone to read, often with each person adding a comment or signature before passing it on. Not to be confused with 回文 (かいぶん, palindrome).

Compound of 回し (mawashi, 'circulating', from 回す mawasu 'to send around') + 文 (bumi, 'letter, document'). The reading ぶみ is a rendaku form of ふみ.
