Intransitive use for recovery or improvement, especially of a market or illness, is much less common in everyday modern Japanese than 持ち直す or 回復する.
古い用法では、「病人が少し見直した」のように、病状が持ち直す意味で使われる。
In older usage, a phrase such as “the patient has somewhat recovered” uses 見直す to mean that the condition has improved.
