insufficient; not enough; lacking
Used when something is quantitatively or qualitatively insufficient. Often interchangeable with 足りない, but 足らない can sound slightly more colloquial or emphatic in some contexts.

i-adjective
Colloquial, often used in the phrase 頭が足らない or similar expressions to mean someone is not very bright. Can be insulting.
