A set phrase used when parting from someone who is ill or injured, expressing hope for their recovery. Often said by doctors, nurses, or friends.

• 風邪かぜを引ひいた友とも達だちに「お大だい事じに」と言いった。

  I said 'take care' to my friend who caught a cold.

• 診しん察さつの後あと、医い者しゃは「お大だい事じに」と声こえをかけた。

  After the examination, the doctor said 'get well soon'.
