京きょうの着き倒だおれ

ruining oneself financially by overspending on clothes (stereotypically associated with Kyoto)

A set phrase contrasting Kyoto's supposed love of fine clothing with Osaka's love of food (大阪の食い倒れ). Often used proverbially or humorously.
