theism (personal God); personal theism
Rare theological term referring specifically to belief in a personal God, often in a Christian context. Contrasts with 有神論 (general theism) and 理神論 (deism).

Personal theism is the position that God has personhood.
有神論 is a broader term for theism in general, while 人格神論 specifically emphasizes a personal God.
理神論 (deism) holds that God created the universe but does not intervene, contrasting with the personal God of 人格神論.
Compound of 人格 (personality, personhood), 神 (god), and 論 (theory, discourse). The term is a calque or translation of Western theological concepts of a personal God.
