ranked element (SGML)
Technical computing term used in SGML contexts to refer to an element that has been assigned a rank or position.
In SGML, ranked elements are used to indicate order within the document structure.
Compound of 付番 (fuban, 'numbering' or 'assigning a number') and 要素 (yōso, 'element').
