A neurological condition caused by a stroke in the lateral part of the medulla oblongata. Also known as Wallenberg syndrome.
Lateral medullary syndrome is often caused by occlusion of the vertebral artery.
Symptoms of lateral medullary syndrome include dizziness and dysphagia.
