Crime-related noun for forcing one's way into a building, and by extension the person who does so. Very often appears in compounds such as 押し入り強盗 or 押し入り事件 rather than as a casual everyday word.
There was a break-in incident in the neighborhood.
A robber who broke in stole the store's cash.
