money or assets
Rare, old-fashioned slang for money or valuable assets. Not used in modern standard Japanese; the common word is 金銭 or 資産.
In old novels, 貨物 can sometimes mean money.

This machine is transported overseas as cargo.
- 貨物を積むto load cargo
