につきDue to; because of (formal notices)
につき presents a noun as the formal reason for a closure, change, restriction, announcement, or other institutional action. It is a compact expression used especially in notices and signs.
How it works
The phrase before the target names the cause, and what follows gives the resulting institutional response. The cause may be negative, such as an inspection or bad weather, but it can also be positive, such as strong demand or favorable reception.

These sentences sound natural as posted notices or official announcements.
Keep the institutional result clear
The expression works best when the result is clearly relevant to customers, visitors, employees, or the public: a cancellation, altered schedule, closed facility, restricted service, or formal request. A very short sign may leave out words that readers can recover from the setting, but full notices normally state the result.
悪天候につき、本日の屋外公演は中止となりました。
Due to severe weather, today's outdoor performance has been canceled.
AnalyzeDo not confuse reason with a unit rate
The same written form has a separate meaning: “per each.” If the preceding noun supplies a unit and a corresponding quantity follows, there is no cause-and-result relationship. The example below is the unit-rate use, not the formal-reason use taught on this page.
