たてFreshly completed
たて describes something freshly made, finished, or newly entered into a state, while that freshness or newness still matters. It attaches only naturally to certain verbs that leave a noticeable fresh result.
A fresh result, not just a recent event
The focus is the result that exists now: bread is still fresh from baking, coffee has just been brewed, or a person has only recently entered a new role. The form often suggests that the result will change with time, so its present freshness or newness is worth mentioning.
Typical uses
The following are established, natural combinations. Notice that the whole expression behaves like a noun: it can take の before another noun or appear before です.
朝は焼きたてのパンを出しています。
We serve freshly baked bread in the morning.
Analyze淹れたてのコーヒーをどうぞ。
Please have some freshly brewed coffee.
Analyzeこのスープはできたてです。

AnalyzeFreshly finished, merely recent, or unfinished
Using bread baking as the shared setting, 焼きたて characterizes the bread as a fresh finished product. The broader たばかり pattern says that the baking event was recent from the speaker's point of view, without requiring a fresh product to be the focus. By contrast, stem plus かけ places the bread on the other side of the boundary: the baking is still incomplete.
Newly entered states
The result does not have to be a physical product. Established combinations can describe someone who has only recently started learning something or entered a job. The important idea is still a new state whose newness remains noticeable.
