それに adds another reason, feature, or detail that supports the same overall point. Depending on context, it corresponds to “besides,” “and also,” or “what’s more.”

Adding weight in the same direction

The added information normally points in the same direction as the first point. Two advantages can support a positive judgment, while two problems can support a negative judgment. It is particularly natural when giving several reasons for a choice or conclusion, but it can also simply add another relevant feature.

Notice how the information after the connective strengthens the point already being made.

このみせえきからちかい。それにりょうもおいしい。だから、よくここでべる。

This restaurant is close to the station. Besides, the food is good, so I often eat here.
