The taste at this restaurant is in a different league from others.
Both mean 'in a different league', but 桁違い emphasizes a measurable gap (like an order of magnitude), while 別格 suggests a qualitative difference in class or status. 桁違い is more common in casual speech.
Do not translate 'league' literally as リーグ unless referring to sports leagues. The Japanese expressions focus on difference in level, class, or dimension.
彼の才能は桁違いだ。
His talent is in a different league.
あのチームは桁違いに強い。
That team is strong beyond comparison.
Means 'special class' or 'in a class of its own'. Often used for exceptional people or things.
彼女の演技は別格だ。
Her performance is in a different league.
Literally 'the level is different'. A straightforward, colloquial way to say someone is on another level.

Literally 'on a different dimension'. Emphasizes an almost incomprehensible gap in quality or ability.
