Usage patterns

• 〈物もの〉のグリップを握にぎるto hold the grip of something

  テニスラケットのグリップをしっかり握にぎった。

  I gripped the tennis racket's handle firmly.

• グリップが滑すべるfor the grip to slip (from sweat, rain, etc.)

  汗あせでグリップが滑すべって打うちにくかった。

  The grip was slippery from sweat, making it hard to hit the ball.

• グリップを巻まくto wrap grip tape around a handle

  新あたらしいグリップテープをラケットに巻まいた。
