Intransitive verb describing things or people becoming mixed together, either physically or socially. Often used with に or と to indicate what something is mixed with.
Oil and water don't mix.
彼はすぐにクラスに混ざった。
He quickly mingled with the class.
The red and blue paint mixed together and became purple.
He joined in and played among the children.
混ざる is the intransitive, everyday verb for things getting mixed together, while 混合 is a more formal term that can also be used intransitively with する.
混ざる means substances blend together and lose their separate identity (like colors or liquids), whereas 合わさる means distinct parts come together while still remaining recognizable, like closing hands or a wound.
