Usually used critically in patterns such as Xの言いなりになる or Xの言いなりにする, implying passive obedience and lack of independent judgment.
He always does whatever his boss tells him.
I don't want to choose my path just because my parents tell me to.
The problem is the attitude of trying to make the other person obey unquestioningly.
