近ちか付づける

Usage patterns

• 〈物もの〉を〈場ば所しょ〉に近ちかづけるto bring something closer to a place

  椅い子すをテーブルに近ちかづけた。

  I moved the chair closer to the table.

• 火ひを近ちかづけるto bring a flame close (to something)

  ガソリンに火ひを近ちかづけると危き険けんだ。

  It's dangerous to bring a flame near gasoline.

• 顔かおを近ちかづけるto bring one's face close (to look at or examine something)

  彼かれは絵えに顔かおを近ちかづけてよく見みた。

  He leaned his face in close to look at the painting.

• 〈人ひと〉を近ちかづけないto not let someone come near / keep someone at a distance

  彼かの女じょは怪あやしい人ひとを近ちかづけないようにしている。

  She makes sure not to let suspicious people get close to her.
