て当然だ・ のも当然だOnly natural; to be expected or deserved
て当然だ and のも当然だ judge an action, result, or treatment as natural, predictable, or deserved in light of the circumstances or a rule.
How the judgment works
This construction does more than predict what will happen. The speaker evaluates the result against known facts, ordinary expectations, or a rule and says that it follows naturally. With the te-form pattern, the result or treatment is stated compactly; with のも当然だ, an entire statement is packaged as the item being evaluated.
Expected results and deserved consequences
The surrounding circumstance should make the speaker's judgment understandable.
これだけ毎日練習していれば、上達して当然だ。
With this much daily practice, improvement is only to be expected.

Analyze規則を何度も無視すれば、参加を断られて当然だ。
If you repeatedly ignore the rules, being refused participation is only to be expected.
AnalyzeChoosing between the two forms
Choose the te-form pattern when the action or consequence itself is the focus: being criticized, improving, losing trust, and so on. Choose のも当然だ when you want to present a complete fact—such as someone being tired or a place being popular—as naturally understandable.
The link after a noun or na-adjective
この町が観光客に人気なのも当然だ。景色が美しく、交通も便利だからだ。
It is no surprise that this town is popular with tourists: the scenery is beautiful and transportation is convenient.

Nearby evaluations
のももっともだ often validates someone's feeling, claim, or reaction as reasonable and can sound more understanding. のも当然だ more directly asserts that the state or consequence naturally follows. Meanwhile, ものだ commonly states a general norm or tendency, whereas the target construction directly evaluates a particular case.
