Describes doing something secretly or unnoticed by exploiting a chaotic or confusing situation. Often used with ～に紛れて.

• 騒さわぎに紛まぎれて彼かれは会かい場じょうを抜ぬけ出だした。

  He slipped out of the venue under cover of the commotion.

Used when two things are so alike that they are hard to tell apart. Often in the form ～と紛れる or ～に紛れる.

• 本ほん物ものと紛まぎれるほど精せい巧こうな偽にせ物ものだ。

  It's such an elaborate fake that it's almost indistinguishable from the real thing.
