縛しばる

Usage patterns

• 〈物もの〉を〈物もの〉で縛しばるto tie something with something (rope, string, etc.)

  荷に物もつをロープで縛しばった。

  I tied up the luggage with a rope.

• 規き則そくに縛しばられるto be bound by rules

  会かい社しゃの規き則そくに縛しばられて自じ由ゆうに行こう動どうできない。

  I can't act freely because I'm bound by company rules.

• 〈人ひと〉を縛しばるto tie someone up (restrain physically)

  犯はん人にんは被ひ害がい者しゃを椅い子すに縛しばった。

  The culprit tied the victim to a chair.

• 〈事こと〉に縛しばられるto be tied down by something (tradition, time, contract, etc.)

  古ふるい習しゅう慣かんに縛しばられている人ひとが多おおい。

  Many people are bound by old customs.
