ci (Chinese literary form)
A specific genre of Chinese poetry; a technical term used in literary studies. Not commonly encountered in everyday Japanese.

From Middle Chinese 辭 (zi). The character originally depicted a legal dispute and came to mean 'words' or 'speech'.
