Intransitive verb expressing that one becomes weary or fed up with something. Often used with に to mark the object of boredom. Note that 飽きる is more common in modern Japanese; 飽く can sound slightly literary or old-fashioned.

Used when one's appetite or desire is fully satisfied, often in the context of food or drink. This sense is somewhat literary or old-fashioned; in modern speech 満足する or 飽きる are more common.
美食に飽いた客たちは、素朴な料理を求めた。
The guests, sated with fine cuisine, sought simple dishes.
